The Four Pillars of our Success

Strategic value to clients: helping companies traverse through transformative change.
Over the past several years, business cycles have accelerated at ever more rapid rates, as technology innovations continue to shorten product development timelines, consolidate supply chains, compel more aggressive go-to-market strategies, and create deeper intimacy between company and customer.  It is in this climate, where a company’s many external audiences have increasing visibility into its decision-making, that smart public relations counsel is mission critical – and where Access continues to excel.

Strength of engagement: the virtuous client relationship circle.
Access establishes deep relationships with our clients, based on transparency, trust, total commitment to client service and a steady drumbeat of media results that drive business value.  Even as we’ve engaged in new client relationships over the past two years (Brocade, CA Technologies, Toshiba, Polycom, Safeway), we continue to solidify, enhance and gain value in kind from many longstanding clients – in a climate, fueled by the caprices of economic uncertainty, that renders agency-client relationships increasingly more fragile.  Among those that we take great pride in, and upon which we model the engagements with our new clients, are: 2K Games/2K Sports, 10 years; Intuit, 9 years; Trend Micro, 8 years, and; PayPal, 6 years.

Business acumen: navigating successfully through a reset economy.
Over the past two years, companies have been buffeted by volatile market forces and economic challenges of a magnitude not seen for at least a generation.  Through this period Access has succeeded because we have never strayed from the core principles that guide how we engage with our employees, the media, and our clients.  In 2009 we grew the company 24% over forecast — due to many factors, among them: stability of senior management (average tenure, 12 years); fiscal responsibility; pragmatic, outward looking view of the industry; and finally, an abiding commitment to superior client service (as companies reevaluated bringing on new agencies, much of our growth actually came from existing client relationships.)

Effective deployment of new technologies: making social media work for business.
Access has an unbroken string of successes in designing and executing on social media initiatives for our clients that achieve measurable goals and that meet or exceed clearly defined business objectives.  We do this using proprietary tools we’ve developed as part of our D3 (Discovery, Data, Decision) social media practice as well as by refining the client’s social media voice to ensure authenticity and believability and then articulating it in the right channels to reach the right audiences with the right messages.
